Bodacious Bloggity Book Club

Many of you are part of book clubs with actual breathing people. You usually meet in each other's homes to share a meal or snacks and discuss the recent read. In this season of my life, I am not a member of a book club, though I would like to be. So, what is a girl to do? Well, start one of course! I propose something of a virtual book club and would LOVE for you to participate!

This is what I am thinking:

~Open for whomever is interested and able to participate.

~Select and read book by a certain date each month, say by the 25th.

~Format would be a blog carnival, complete with a Mr. Linky (once I learn how to add a Mr. Linky. Will investigate.) We would each read the selected book, each write our post about the book and our thoughts, then link back here so we can read each other's post. Does that make sense?

~Of course I am open to suggestions about types of novels, and a variety of styles will hopefully offer something for everyone involved. I would prefer that we only nominate books that we feel aren't too racy or rated R. My first thought was to have a book club that focused on Classic literature (because I feel like there are so many I have never read and would like to) or historical fiction. Thoughts?

~Try to participate each month, but of course life happens or maybe the book that month is just not your thing, WHATever. No pressure, this is for fun.
