The BBBC: Book Selection for May

I don't know if I have Spring on my brain, or if I just like rabbits. Maybe both. I went upstairs to look for another possible book for the BBBC next month, and up on the tip top shelf sat this...

I thought to myself, "Self, what about Watership Down?"

Self liked the idea and I hope you do too. Believe me, you will never think the same about rabbits again.

Scurry, hop or scatter to find a copy of Watership Down, by Richard Adams for our next BBBC meeting May 25th. If you have never read it, I hope you will. If you have read it before, maybe it's the perfect time for a refresher.

it's only been a couple of years since I've read this one! don't know that I will re-read it again just yet....I actually read this one out loud to the kids. they liked it, except for a couple of chapters. but, well, I guess I won't say much yet until the discussion....good choice!

I have never read this and embarresdly(?) don't know that I have ever even heard of this book, which makes me even more excited to read it... I am off to find a copy to hurry up and start... Thanks for a new selection and for broadening my book reading.

Though my girls have read Watership Down, I have not. Now you have motivated me to get a copy and get busy.

Are you sure???? I too have not heard of this book and when I read the description...well, are you sure??? -Ha! Rabbits???

Ok, we shall see! I know that is what book clubs are all about- reading something new!

Lacie: Trust me, rabbits are interesting and highly socialized. I know it might sound strange, but this really is one of my all time favorite books.

I am inspired...have always wanted to read this one. Why haven't I? I will try to join the discussion.
