Thanks for inspiring me to taking "good" photos on the first day...next Wednesday! Ans we have a pink Barbie lunch box too!

How did you handle it? any tears?

Marla: I got a little choked up in the car, but held it together. She was SOOOO excited and that made me excited too.

Good luck next week!

Oh and thank you about the photos. I admit I felt a little like the papparrazzi, but you only start Kindergarten once, right?

This article was helpful for back to school photos.

I did not realize that A. started Kinder today!!!! Oh...I hope all went well!

Ok, how early were yall there? I don't see another child anywhere- Hee Hee.

I have been trying to figure out how to get first day pictures in without being really stretched for time and it showing in the pictures. I may just have to get up at 4:30am Ha! I am also not sure how many pictures the teacher is going to wnat me to take that first day...

Ok, are you still using the "A" on your camera? I need some assistance with my pictures when I'm not in great lighting.

How grown up A. looks! Happy first day A!

Have a great year "A". I know you will. And in no time Holly will be lavishing this time of aloneness and be crafting and running and shopping and look at her watch and realize she's 30 min late to pick up poor "A".

I love it that she looks like such a kindergartner now! There's a transformation that happens when wearing a uniform and a backpack. How exciting for your family!

LOVE the photos - gorgeous, everyday stuff is the best, I tell you.

But the real question is: WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO WITHOUT HER???

sweet girl! I love the braids, too. I know she is going to do awesome! The pics are so good...I need you to come with me to my kids first day of school. LOL

Lacie: I don't really know how it happened, but we were really early--she was the second kiddo there. Friday she was the third--so I'm doing good so far. I think this year the fear of tardies will work in my favor. Ha!

Thank you about the photos. Yes, I still usually shoot in Av mode (I think it's A on Nikon) because it's easier and faster than manual--butI still try manual from time to time. Haven't gotten very good at Tv mode (shutter priority). AND I still don't know what I'm doing in Photoshop Elements. I edited these a little with Picnik.com (it's free and EASY).

Christie: Thursday and Friday seemed so quiet with her gone! I guess I'll find my way eventually. I certainly have creative projects I've been neglecting. Oh, cleaning and organizing too. And a matinee from time to time. :)

And... can I come to your house for breakfast???

Thanks Shelly! There was something about the combination of braids and the uniform that made her look so much older--or maybe just walking into Kindergarten made her seem older. I can't deny it or stop it--she's growing up!!!

Yes! You have an open invitation.

She definitely looks ready for school! I love those flowers with the ladybugs on the bathroom mirror.
